Our Maine Coon Kitten adoption process is very different from other catteries.

We have a very high demand for our kittens, and we want everyone to have an opportunity to get one.

Once you’ve completed a kitten application and we  approve of you, you’ll be provided with all of the information you need to make a decision about what kitten you will like from our available litter.

How to adopt from Large Coons Cattery

The first way to adopt from our cattery is to complete a kitten adoption application after which we will email you telling you if you have been selected or not.

Another way, which is by far the fastest is to reach out to us on our contact page and give detailed description of what kitten you will like to adopt from the available litter.

You will still be required to complete the kitten adoption application. This method however is for you to fully express yourself and why you will deserve our kitten.

Maine Coon Adoption Checklist

– Learn About Maine Coons As A Breed

Spend  time researching the Maine Coon cat, including its physical characteristics, temperament, colors of maine coons, grooming, and dietary needs.

This will ensure that you are prepared and ready for the exciting challenge and satisfaction of owning a maine coon.

– Veterinarian

Find a vet who has worked with and specializes on Maine Coon cats.

You might also find it prudent to apply for pet insurance. We recommend Trupanion pet insurance.

– Grooming

Maine Coons are a long haired cat that needs regular brushing and grooming.

Obtain the proper tools such as a carding comb and slicker brush and set aside 2 to 3 times per week to groom your cat. This will keep the coat healthy and prevent matting.

– Space for your Cat

Maine coons are the largest domestic card. This means they need more space than you would normally need for a regular kitten.

More space, Bigger toys, bed and furniture. You can custom make things such as cat trees as most of what they sell are not the right size for a maine coon.

– Have you time for your cat?

Maine Coon cats are very social cats. Make sure that you have time for socialization, cuddling, grooming and playtime every day for your cat.

Spending adequate time with them will ensure a happy and confident cat who isn’t starved of attention.
